Do you only train athletes?
No! We train anyone and everyone. Although we train a large percentage of athletes, we have lots of adult and general fitness clients! The Weight Room is a philosophy and a culture. Education is key. Our goal is not just to make you sweat or get sore, but to help educate proper form, improve technique and be thoughtful with programming.

What does a typical session look like?
The first session is always an evaluation. This helps us get a sense for any restrictions or limitations you may have. It's also a great time to go over goals. After your initial evaluation, a typical second session will include a warm up, targeted mobility exercises for your specific needs, power or speed work, strength training, and finishing off with core, conditioning and recovery.

Do I need any experience for the Athletic Performance program?
Not at all! As with all programs at Weight Room Sports Performance, the main focus is education. Our Sports Performance program accommodates all experience levels. The goal behind performance training is to improve performance - no matter what level of performance.
07/
What kind of clients do you train?
We train all clients, regardless of background or experience level. Clients in the past have included youth athletes as young as 7 years old, current and post treatment cancer patients, recent total joint replacement, weight loss, corrective exercise and return to play, Olympic bound swimmers, Team USA Figure Skating, high school and college athletes across all sports, and weekend warriors.
02/
How old do my kids need to be for the Athletic Development program?
Generally speaking, there is no minimum age for a child to start training. Typically we use the age range of "middle school" or 11-14. This is to ensure the maturity of athletes and appropriateness of activity. If you have any questions about your athlete's readiness or if our program is right for you, please contact us info@weightroomsports.com.

What is "Athletic Performance"?
Our Athletic Performance program is aimed at high school and college athletes looking to improve speed, power, strength, and overall athleticism in a safe, progressive environment. The "bread and butter" of The Weight Room training programs has been preparing high school athletes for the rigors of collegiate athletics. Too many high school athletes go to college without any strength & conditioning experience and wind up either left behind or hurt. Our Athletic Performance program hopes to minimize that by educating athletes on proper form, basic movement mechanics, and what it means to train effectively and safely!

What if I have a group needing to be trained?
Absolutely. We have semi-private training (up to 3), small group (4-6) for adults, and team training options for athletes. Grab your friends to make a group, join an existing group, or sign your whole team up and let's get to work.
