East Catholic High School is proud to announce Summer Strength & Conditioning using the BRAND NEW Weight Room. Services will be provided by nationally credentialed professional and ECHS Alum Kevin Kosis '10.

Over the past 10 years Kevin has helped develop thousands of athletes from elementary ages to Olympic medalists.
This summer, he brings that same program back to ECHS.

High School Strength & Conditioning offers a comprehensive training program tailored to the individual athlete's needs.

 

Our progressive programming is designed to increase speed, strength, and performance by using tracking metrics to ensure progress. Our strategic structure focuses on overall performance, while in depth coaching improves each athlete's injury resilience.

 

This high energy group environment will help any high school athlete reach their true potential.  We utilize a team like environment to encourage athletes to hold themselves and others accountable.

The weekly schedule will be broken down into specific goals for each day including speed, power, strength and performance.

Just like the NFL Combine, our program is designed to help you showcase your skills and maximize your performance in front of college coaches and scouts.

 

Our experienced coaches will provide individualized training in key areas such as speed, strength, agility, and skill development, tailored to the demands of your sport. You will receive a tailored NSF Safe supplement package through our provider Thorne Health upon signing up and a continued 15% discount as your athletic career continues.

 

You'll have access to brand new facilities, cutting-edge equipment, and performance tracking tools to monitor your progress. We use TrainHeroic - a digital program tracking application to deliver and monitor the progress of all workouts. Prior to your first day, you will know exactly what YOUR specific program entails. We operate by collaborative coaching - YOU are THE PROCESS. We are here to guide and prepare, but you dictate how we aid that journey. Along with top-notch training, you'll also receive guidance on nutrition, injury prevention, and mental conditioning to give you the competitive edge.

Kevin worked with our swim team over the course of 3 years.  I met Kevin to review our needs and he quickly immersed himself in the sport, learning what swimmers needed and how to provide it. He was able to take a broad range, from 10 year-olds just starting out to premier high school seniors bound for D1 programs, and create/implement a progressive program that yielded tremendous results.


Two of the biggest factors helping our athletes grow was building a great culture and educating them throughout the process. He took the time to teach the “why” and encouraged buy-in to the process. There was constant communication about the programs progress and individual athlete concerns. We worked together to develop a program that would compliment our training in the water. Most days you could find Kevin on deck at practice checking in and asking questions to learn more about the nuances of the sport.


Safely progressing our athletes was a major concern. Our previous dryland program left gaps and room for improvement.  We wanted to make sure our injuries stayed low, which was met with proactive plans to keep our athletes healthy. In the inevitable few instances where injuries or overuse became an issue, modifications and correctives were promptly put in place to get them back in shape quickly. Kevin communicated with therapists to continue their return to play protocols.


Overall, Kevin and his team were a huge asset to our program and I give them my strongest possible recommendation.
